About me

Hi. I'm Dave Liddament (@daveliddament). I've been a software developer since 2002. Currently I am a director and software developer at Lamp Bristol.

When I'm not developing software you might find me scuba diving or running. The photo above is of me from a dive in the Scilly Isles.

Through out my career I've gained commercial experience in many programming languages including C, C++, Java, JavaScript, PHP and Python. See my LinkedIn profile for more details.

I help co-organise PHP South West. We run monthly meetups that have 2 to 3 PHP related talks.

I also run a meetup called Bristol PHP training. These are run as small workshops (typically 4-8 people) and we work through various training exercises mainly around testing, improving code quality and continuous integration.

I speak at PHP user groups throughout England and have recently started talking at conferences too.
